This piece is a part of my thesis , and a part of mind manipulation series.
This series represents the ripple effect of ideas within society, illustrating how a single thought or influence can quickly spread and shape collective consciousness. Each sculptural form is a copy of myself, symbolizing the way I imprint my ideas onto others, manipulating the minds of those within my social circle. The ethereal, spectral presence of these figures embodies the souls of individuals who perpetuate chaos, what begins with one person rapidly expands, affecting the whole of society.
The organic forms appear to emerge from the wall, dissolving the boundaries between material and void, presence and absence. The repetition of facial structures, partially obscured and intertwined with flowing fibrous textures, evokes notions of identity, memory, and the subconscious. The interplay of light and shadow heightens the ghostly quality, reinforcing the sensation of transient figures caught between dimensions.
Psychologically charged, this work explores themes of influence, connectivity, and the fragile balance between autonomy and manipulation. It invites viewers to reflect on how thoughts and beliefs propagate, questioning whether we shape society or are merely shaped by it. In this tension between permanence and impermanence, the figures seem to oscillate between emergence and dissolution, mirroring the continuous cycle of ideological transmission and transformation. This piece is installed alongside a projection video on the adjacent wall. The video illustrates the impact people have on one another as they come closer, with animated connection lines linking them together. When viewers approach the video, their own shadows appear on the wall, blending into the scene and making them an interactive part of the experience.
