I began my Master of Fine Arts as a fully funded student, and alongside my creative research, I had the opportunity to serve as a Teaching Assistant in my first year. Drawing on my prior professional experience and academic background, I was later selected as the first student at the Bass School to serve as Instructor of Record in my second year, a role that allowed me to independently lead a course. With the support and trust of my supervisor, I was given the freedom to teach beyond rigid instruction, following the syllabus while developing my own teaching approach.

My teaching style emphasized clarity, collaboration, and active learning, which consistently resulted in strong student engagement and positive evaluations each semester. I introduced new group-based activities to encourage teamwork alongside individual growth, helping students build both creative and interpersonal skills. Across multiple semesters, my students consistently placed among the top four in a department-wide Design I competition involving 6–10 sections per term, each with approximately 30 students. Selected student works are presented here as a slideshow, along with representative course evaluations that reflect this experience.
